Faakhir is proud to have received presidential award “PRIDE OF PERFORMANCE”, the highest civil award for music in Pakistan in recognition for his outstanding services in the field of music. Currently he is serving as the UNITED NATIONS GOOD WILL AMBASSODOR. Seeing his popularity with the youth he has also been appointed as the AMBASSODOR FOR ‘WAR ON TOBACCO’ in Pakistan by the Federal ministry of health.

At present Faakhir is enjoying being a judge in a popular reality show on Mtv Pakistan, called ‘Pakistan sangeet icon’! Faakhir who has always had enormous faith in musical talent in Pakistan believes that he will use this stint in spotting some worthwhile talent. Faakhir is fulfilling his role as a responsible Pakistani role model in helping out IDP’s in war hit North West frontier province of Pakistan.
